Come to Art Escape with family and friends to be part of this Mexican tradition!
Las Posadas is Spanish for lodging, which refers to the inn in the story of the nativity of Jesus. Las Posadas is a novenario (nine days of religious observance) celebrated chiefly in Mexico and by Mexican-Americans in the United States, beginning December 16 and ending December 24. The ritual has been a tradition in Mexico for around 400 years.
Join children playing the parts of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus as we sing to Pedir Posada (lyrics to be handed out to follow along), come together for a small feast of Pozole and Ponche and break a colorful piñata during this one-day event!
Food, music and a piñata!
